What do I do if my tooth is dislodged?

• Carefully handle the tooth by the crown, avoiding the root.
• Lightly rinse the tooth with water—avoid soaps and do not scrub.
• If possible, reinsert the tooth into its socket using gentle pressure from your fingers or by closing your mouth slowly.
• If reinsertion fails, keep the tooth in a container of milk and contact us immediately.

What do I do if my tooth got knocked loose?

• If your tooth is loose, attempt to reposition it gently with clean fingers, without forcing it.
• Call us immediately for advice and to arrange an urgent appointment.

How do I handle a chipped tooth?

• Rinse your mouth with warm water immediately.
• Apply a cold compress to the area to reduce swelling.
• Take acetaminophen for pain relief—avoid aspirin and do not apply topical pain relievers directly to your gums as they may cause further irritation.
